You have a reasonable choice of good quality wedding venues in Buckinghamshire. On the Beds and Bucks border within 80 acres of gorgeous gardens, sits Chicheley Hall, a beautiful wedding venue.
Chicheley Hall is a Grade I listed mansion and regarded as one of the finest examples of early 18th Century architecture. Its current hall dates back to the 1700’s and is a truly impressive wedding venue.
Silvia and Rob contacted me around 18 months before their big day to talk about their wedding, a Bavarian-style affair with beautiful design. Included in the wedding was a first look, which was a first for me. We also completed the couple photoshoot before the ceremony which was a refreshing change.
Being a wedding photographer in Milton Keynes one thing I loved about this Bavarian wedding was an old tradition of kidnapping the bride! Sounds sinister but it’s all fun.
Some close friends took Silvia to the bar to drink champagne, mostly equipped with an accordion. The wedding party then enjoys the party without the groom for a little while.
The groom is blindfolded then has to find the group and bring the wedding bouquet to the bride, followed by some games in which he has to do funny things. They made Rob kneel on the ground on a blunt piece of wood while he answered questions, very entertaining!
It was then the party started, with drinking, singing and dancing. Definitely one of my weddings of the year.
We topped off the day with Silvia agreeing to lie down in the beautiful flower arrangement on the staircase of Chicheley Hall. Come and take a look below at their wedding highlights.
